Basil Pesto Sauce

Basil Pesto Sauce




INGREDIENTS
 

Fresh Basil leaves with few soft stems   -   3 cup
 

Oil  -  2/3 -3/4 cup
 

Pine-nuts   -  1/4-1/2 cup

Parmesan cheese   -  2/3 cup
 

Garlic  -  3 cloves
 

Freshly grounded Black peppercorns   -   1/2 teaspoon
 

Lemon Juice    -  1 teaspoon
 

Salt to taste

Directions : 
Assemble all the ingredients. Clean and wash Basil leaves.
 

In a food processor/blender combine basil leaves with
 

Cloves of garlic and pine-nuts...
 

Add crushed black peppercorns....
 

Add salt...
 

Add 1/3 cup of Olive oil and save the other 1/3 cup olive oil and lemon juice..
 

Blend everything together until smooth. 

Add shredded cheese and the remaining oil and give it a final churn.
 

Adjust your seasonings and homemade pesto sauce is ready.
