How to prepare thattai in Oven
Ingredients:
Rice flour - 1 1/2 cup
Pottukadalai
mavu - 1/2 cup
Chilli powder -1 tbsp
Salt - 1 tbsp
Oil -2 tbsp
Water - 1 1/2
cup
Kadalai
paruppu - 1 tbsp
Black pepper -
1 tbsp
Step:
Soak kadalai
paruppu for 15 min.
Make pottu kadalai
mavvu by grinding pottu kadalai.
Grind the
pepper croasly.
Pour water in a
kadai and sprink little oil in it and add chilli powder and salt.Bring to boil.
Add flour and leave
it for some time and mix it slowly in slow fire.Switch off the stove.
Add the pottu kadalai
mavvu,pepper and kadalai paruppu.
Mix it with
spatula,once heat is reduced try to mix it with hand.
The dough should be
hard and not too soft.
Make small small
balls.
Take a oven tray
and Place a foil on top and apply little oil in it.
Place the ball on
it and slightly press to make small round.press it thin circle.
Place all ball in
foil and repeat the same.
Apply some oil on
top of each circle.
Keep the tray in
preheated 350 degree oven.
Keep it for 20
minutes and remove the tray from oven and using fork turn the thattai upside
down and again keep in oven for 15
minutes. Now remove from tray and place it in air tight
container.
